On 27 Jun 1797, Benjamin Summers bought ten lots. Listed here are the lot numbers in the new plan and in parentheses the number in the old plan: Lots 41 (13), 42 (14), 21 (24), 45 (41), 46 (42), 47 (43), 48 (44), 64 (45), 63 (46), 79 (51). Summers then sold lots 45 and 46 to George Saunders on 16 May 1821. Then George sold the two lots to Thomas Sanders Sr. Thomas next sold these two lots to Weir Tilford and Abraham Field Jr. on 15 Jan 1823. In October 1827 Tilford and Field deeded the lots to Jacob Bowman. Jacob Bowman's heirs sold the lots to James Doyle in April 1844. Then, in October 1851, lots 45 & 46 were sold by Doyle to Joseph Bowman.
On 19 Apr 1872, lot 46 was sold by auction to H. Clay Crist as shown below.

Whereas on the 3rd of October 1871 a petition was filed in the Bullitt Circuit Court by H. C. Crist, G. S. Bowman & others for a sale of a lot of ground in the town of Shepherdsville known as lot No. 46, and whereas on the 20th of October 1871 a judgment wsa rendered in said case ordering a sale of said town lot and W. J. McConathy, master commissioner, was ordered to make said sale, and whereas said commissioner did on 20th November 1871, after advertising as directed, offer for sale at public auction at the courthouse door in Shepherdsville the said town lot No. 46, and H. C. Crist being the highest bidder became the purchaser of same at the sum of $140 and executed his bond for same with Wesley Phelps security; and whereas said sale was reported at the April Term 1872 and at said Term confirmed, and W. J. McConathy, master commissioner, was ordered to convey said lot to H. C. Crist.
Now this indenture entered into this 19th day of April 1872 between G. S. Bowman and __ Bowman his wife, Maggie S. Bowman, Mary Bowman, Joseph Bowman, Bettie Bowman, Clara Bowman, John S. Bowman, Sallie Bowman, P. H. Bowman, Mary L. Bowman, James W. Bowman, Maggie Bowman, Mary Bowman, Thomas P. Grundy, Margaret B. Grundy, Augustus Cox, Ellen Cox, H. B. Blackstone, G. E. Blackstone his wife, parties of the first part by W. J. McConathy, master commissioner B.C.C., and H. Clay Crist, party of the second part.
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the foregoing facts and the payment of the purchase bonds as shown thereon, the parties of the first part by said commissioner bargain, sell and hereby convey unto said H. C. Crist the lot of ground mentioned in the above case lying in Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky and known on the plat of said town as Lot No. 46, lying on Minerva Alley and Second Street, and formerly owned by Joseph Bowman, dec'd, reference is made to deed of James Doyle by commissioner to Joseph Bowman, recorded in Deed Book M, page 343, Bullitt County Clerk's office, said deed filed in this suit.
To have and to hold said town lot No. 46 unto the said H. C. Crist, his heirs and assigns forever against the claims of the parties of the first part, their heirs, and all parties by, through or under them. This commissioner shall incur no individual responsibility herein.
