John Collins bought lot 58 in 1797, and according to the deed below, it came into the possession of Harmon Greathouse at Collins' death. Greathouse then sold it to Henry Jones who later sold a portion on the southeast corner to Weir Tilford. Jones then sold another part located on the southwest part to Nelly Miles on 10 May 1822; and another part adjoining that belonging to Tilford to John M. Jones on 15 Apr 1823. Then, on 8 Nov 1824, Henry sold parts of this lot to Joseph Huston in two separate deeds: Deed 1; Deed 2 (shown below).

This indenture made and entered into this eighth day of November in the year of our Lord 1824 between Henry C. Jones of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the one part, and Joseph Huston of the same county and state of the other part.
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of $500 by the said Huston to the said Jones in hand paid before the sealing and delivery hereof, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, he the said Henry C. Jones hath given, granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents doth give, grant, bargain, alien, release, convey and confirmed unto the said Joseph Huston, his heirs &c the following described lots of ground with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging, lying and being in the town of Shepherdsville to-wit.
Beginning at the west corner of the west end of the two brick tenements on lot No. 58 in the new plan of said town and which were built by Henry and John M. Jones and running with a straight line from said corner north to the back line of said lot No. 58, thence east with the original line of said lot to the west line of a part of said lot conveyed by the said Henry to Frederic Travis, thence with said Travis' line to the partition wall between said tenements to the said front, and with said front to the beginning.
To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land, to him the said Huston his heirs &c to their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever and the said Henry C. Jones for himself, his heirs &c hereby covenants to and with the said Joseph Huston that he will and his heirs shall forever warrant and defend the said lot of ground &c to him the said Huston, his heirs &c against the claim of him the said Henry C. Jones, his heirs &c and all persons claiming or to claim the same by through, from or under him or them, and also against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof the said Henry C. Jones hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal day and date above written.
