John Collins bought this lot in 1797, and according to the deed below, it came into the possession of Harmon Greathouse at Collins' death. Greathouse then sold it to Henry Jones who later sold a portion on the southeast corner to Weir Tilford.

This indenture made this 27th day of April 1816 between Harmon Greathouse of Nelson County and state of Kentucky of the one part and Henry Jones of Bullitt County and state aforesaid of the other part.
Whereas on the 26th day of June 1797, the acting trustees of the town of Shepherdsville in the county of Bullitt by their deed conveyed to John Collins, heir of James Collins dec'd, a certain lot or parcel of land in said town known by it's number three in the old plan of said town, and number 58 in the new plan of said town, which lot consists of 1/2 acre, and whereas since the making of said deed the said John Collins hath departed this life without issue, leaving the said Harmon Greathouse, who was his guardian duly appointed, his estate both real and personal as has been proven by the said Greathouse.
Now this indenture witnesseth that the said Harmon Greathouse, for and in consideration of the sum of $70 current money to him in hand paid by the said Henry Jones, the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and forever acquit and discharge the said Henry Jones, hath granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell unto the said Henry Jones the aforesaid lot of an half-acre of land with all the appurtenances thereto belonging.
To have and to hold the said lot of land, as before described to the said, Henry Jones, his heirs &c, to and for his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. And the said Harmon Greathouse for himself, his heirs &c doth covenant, promise and agree to and with the said Henry Jones that the aforesaid lot of land and appurtenances he will and his heirs, executors and administrators shall forever warrant and defend by these presents. In witness whereof the said Harmon Greathouse hath set his hand and seal the day and year first above written. (signed) Harmon Greathouse.
