John Collins bought this lot in 1797, and it came into the possession of Harmon Greathouse at Collins' death. Greathouse then sold it to Henry Jones who sold a portion on its southeast corner to Weir Tilford, as shown below.

This indenture made and entered into this fourth day of March 1819 between Henry Jones of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the one part and W. Tilford & Co. of the county and state aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said Jones, for and in consideration of the sum of $500 to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have this day bargained, and sold and by these presents do bargain and sell, alien and confirm unto the said W. Tilford and Co., a certain part of a lot in the town of Shepherdsville known by number three in the old plan of said town and number 58 in the new plan, commencing at the southeast corner of said lot on the alley, thence North 6 1/2° East binding on the said alley 110 feet, thence North 83 1/2° West a line at right angles thereto 30 feet, thence South 6 1/2° West 110 feet to the street fronting the river, thence South 83 1/2° East along said street 30 feet to the beginning corner on the alley.
To have and to hold the said lot or parcel of land as above described to the said W. Tilford & Co., their heirs or assigns &c to and for their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever; and the said Henry Jones for himself, his heirs &c doth covenant, promise and agree to and with the said W. Tilford & Co. that the aforesaid lot as above described with its appurtenances thereunto belonging he and his heirs, executors and administrators shall forever warrant and defend by these presents against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatever. In witness whereof the said Henry Jones has set his hand and seal the day and year first above written.
