Shepherdsville lot 54 had originally been purchased by Edward Frye in 1797. He next sold it to John L. Summers of Maryland in 1800. Then in 1819, the lot was in the hands of his heirs when they failed to pay the town tax on the lot it was sold to John B. Summers (shown below) who sold it to Lewis Willcoxen who would later sell the lot to Thomas Q. Willson.

Whereas the trustees of the town of Shepherdsville in Bullitt County, state of Kentucky, did agreeably to the power vested in them by the several acts of assembly of the state aforesaid at a meeting of their board on the first day of September 1819 lay tax on the lots of said town and appoint George Saunders collector thereof.
In pursuance of which appointment and authority the said Saunders advertised and on the tenth day of January 1820 sold lot number 54 in the new plan of said town as belonging to the heirs of John Summers dec'd, the said tax on the lot not having been paid, and John B. Summers became the purchaser of said lot for the sum of $2.50, being the amount of the tax due thereon for the year 1819.
This indenture thereupon made this 28th day of February, 1820 between the said George Saunders, collector as aforesaid of the town of Shepherdsville in the county and state aforesaid of the one part and the said John B. Summers of the same town, county and state of the other part, witnesseth that the said George Saunders, collector as aforesaid, for and in consideration of the premises and the sum of $2.50 to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath sold and by these presents doth sell, convey, alien, release and confirm unto the said John B. Summers, his heirs &c the aforesaid lot of ground in the town of Shepherdsville with its appurtenances, known on the new plan of said town by the number 54.
To have and to hold the said lot of ground, number 54, with all its appurtenances unto the said John B. Summers, his heirs &c forever to his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof. The said George Saunders, collector as aforesaid hereby conveying all the right, title, interest and claim of the heirs of the said John Summers dec'd of in and to the lot of ground and appurtenances aforesaid. In testimony whereof the said George Saunders, collector as aforesaid, hath hereto set his hand and affixed his seal on the day and year within mentioned.
