In 1826, Noah C. Summers deeded several town lots to Sydney S. Alexander who had purchased them a year earlier and had them deeded to Summers. The lots included 26, 41, 42, 47 and 63. Then on 2 Oct 1827, Alexander joined with Benjamin Summers in selling lots 47 and 48 to Thomas Q. Willson. And on 15 Aug 1828, Alexander, by a quit claim deed, sold his title to lots 41 and 42 to Jonathan Gore Jr. as shown below.
On 16 Nov 1830, Gore sold the southern part of lot 42 to George W. Jenkins. Then, on 20 Nov 1832, he sold the rest of lot No. 42 to Wilford Lee. On 12 Aug 1833, he sold part of lot No. 41 also to Lee.

Whereas Sidney S. Alexander purchased at the sales for the taxes due the town of Shepherdsville on the 20 August 1825 lots numbered 41 and 42 for the taxes due thereon and assigned the certificate of purchase to Noah C. Summers who received a deed therefore from Heny F. Kalfus, collector of the town taxes of Shepherdsville which is of record in the Bullitt County Court clerk's office, dated 31 Oct 1825. And said Summers afterwards on the 1st March 1826 conveyed the said lots No. 41 & 42 to said Sydney S. Alexander, reference to the deed of that date in the aforesaid office of record shows; and said Sydney S. Alexander afterwards on the 18 September 1827 acquired the relinquishment of Benjamin Summers to one-half of the aforesaid lot No. 42 (all being in the new plan of said town), a reference to the deed of Benjamin Summers in said office of record shows. And said Alexander has now sold said lots No. 41 & 42 to Jonathan Gore Jr.
Therefore the said Sidney S. Alexander in consideration of the sum of $1 current money of the United States to him in hand paid by the said Gore, has and does by these presents sell and convey and confirm unto his the said Jonathan Gore Jr. and to his heirs and assigns forever all the aforesaid lots No. 41 & 42 as by him as aforesaid acquired, and the said Alexander does hereby covenant to warrant to the said Gore the said interest and title acquired by him as aforesaid to said lots to him the said Gore and to his heirs and assigns forever, free and clear of and from him and his heirs and all persons claiming under him, but against no others by this his deed of quit claim only, and in case the lots or either of them are hereafter lost by any other of better title, the said Alexander is in no event liable as this conveyance is only a quit claim without any warranty of title or other responsibility.
Witness the hand and seal of said Alexander to this his deed of quit claim only this 15 day of August 1828.
