In 1826, Noah C. Summers deeded several town lots to Sydney S. Alexander who had purchased them a year earlier and had them deeded to Summers. The lots included 26, 41, 42, 47 and 63. Then on 2 Oct 1827, Alexander joined with Benjamin Summers in selling lots 47 and 48 to Thomas Q. Willson. And on 15 Aug 1828, Alexander, by a quit claim deed, sold his title to lots 41 and 42 to Jonathan Gore Jr. as shown below. On 20 Nov 1832, Gore sold part of lot No. 42 to Wilford Lee; and then on 12 Aug 1833, he sold part of lot No. 41 also to Lee.

This indenture made this 20th day of November 1832 between Jonathan Gore Jr. and Lavinia, his wife of Nelson County and state of Kentucky and Henry Gore of the same county and Abner Gore of Bullitt County, Kentucky, security for the Jonathan Gore Jr. of the one part and Wilford Lee of the county of Bullitt and same state of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of $250 current money of the .., said Jonathan Gore Jr. before the sealing and delivery hereof, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said Wilford Lee a certain part of lot No. 42 in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville and bounded as follows, to-wit.
Beginning at the northeast corner of said lot, thence southwardly with the alley 99', thence westwardly at right angles to the line of M. & S. Wilson, thence at right angles northwardly to Main Cross Street, and thence with said street to the beginning.
To have and to hold the said described part of said lot and appurtenances unto him the said Wilford Lee, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, and to his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever, free and clear of and from the right and title of dower or other encumbrance whatsoever. And the said Jonathan Gore Jr. and Lavinia his wife, and Henry Gore and Abner Gore covenant and agree to and with the said Wilford Lee that they will and their heirs shall warrant and forever defend the said described premises and appurtenances unto him the said Wilford Lee, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns from themselves and their heirs and from the claim or claims of all and every person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same.
In testimony whereof the parties of the first part hereto set their hands and seals on the day and year before written. The property hereby conveyed is the same now occupied by John Holsclaw.
