In 1826, Noah C. Summers deeded several town lots to Sydney S. Alexander who had purchased them a year earlier and had them deeded to Summers. The lots included lot 47. Then on 2 Oct 1827, Alexander joined with Benjamin Summers in selling lots 47 and 48 to Thomas Q. Willson, as shown below.

This indenture made and entered into this second day of October in the year of our Lord 1827 between Benjamin Summers and Sydney S. Alexander of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the one part and Thomas Q. Willson of the county and state aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar by the said Willson to the said Summers in hand paid, the receipt whereof he does hereby acknowledge, they the said Summers and Alexander have given, granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do give, grant, bargain and sell unto the said Willson the following lots or parcels of land lying and being in the town of Shepherdsville, to-wit, two half acre lots numbered 47 and 48 in the new plan of the said town, being the same conveyed to the said Benjamin Summers by the trustees of the said town and conveyed by the collector of said town to said Sydney S. Alexander, he having purchased for taxes and becoming a party to this instrument for the purpose of releasing his claim thus required.
To have and to hold the said two lots of land with the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said Willson, his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Summers for himself, his heirs &c covenant, and the said Alexander for himself, his heirs &c covenant to and with the said Willson that they will warrant and forever defend the two half lots aforesaid to him the said Willson against the claim or claims of them the said Summers and Alexander or all and every person or persons claiming or to claim the samy by, through from or under them or either of them, but not against the claim of any other person or persons whatever.
In testimony, whereof they have hereto set their hands and affixed their seals this day and date above. N. B. it is understood that this deed is to operate as a mere quit claim to the lots within mentioned and without responsibility for the consideration money.
