Robert F. Samuels was indebted to Richard P. Simmons, dec'd, and to pay some of that indebtedness, he sold Shepherdsville lots 49-50 to John Nusz on 29 Mar 1847 with Nusz executing a note for $200 to Simmons' estate, as shown below.

This indenture made an entered into the 29th day of March 1847 between Robert F. Samuels and Malinda, his wife of the county of Bullitt and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and John Nusz of the county, and Commonwealth aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth that said Samuels and wife for an in consideration of $200, payable 12 months after date in a note executed to Richard H. Field and Mary Simmons, administrator and administratrix of Richard P. Simmons, deceased, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell unto the said John Nusz, his heirs and assigns two vacant lots lying and being in the town of Shepherdsville, Kentucky and designated by their numbers on the new plan of said town 49 and 50. (The lot number 49 deeded by the trustees of Shepherdsville to Thomas Shain and willed by said Shain to Robert F. Samuels.)
To have and to hold the said two lots number 49 and 50 with its appurtenances unto the said John, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Robert F. Samuels and Malinda, his wife, for themselves, their heirs, executors, and administrators the aforesaid two vacant lots No. 49 & 50 and appurtenances unto the said John Nusz, his heirs or assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever, doth and will forever warrant and defend by these presents.
