The deed shown below mistakenly labels the lot sold as lot No. 56, but from other deeds it is clearly lot 57. On 11 Feb 1818, Benjamin Summers purchased two-thirds of lot 57 (new plan) from Adam Shepherd. This includes all of the lot on this drawing except the part labeled D. On 6 Apr 1821, he sold the part labeled "A" to Henry C. Jones. At this time it appears that John W. Beckwith has a storehouse on the part labeled "E". Summers next, on 28 Apr 1821, sold the part labeled "B" to Richard P. Simmons, and the part labeled "C" to Nathan and Walter B. Miles. He next sold the part labeled "E" to Jonathan Gore Jr. The part labeled "D" was sold by the trustees to Thomas Joyce in 1832.
On 22 Oct 1827, this Miles tract was sold to Jonathan Simmons via a court-ordered sheriff's sale, as shown below.

This indenture made and entered into this 22nd day of October in the year 1827 between William Caldwell, late sheriff of Bullitt County and state of Kentucky of the one part and Jonathan Simmons of the same county and state of the other part.
Witnesseth that whereas heretofore to-wit on the ninth day of November in the year 1825, there issued from the clerk's office of the Bullitt Circuit Court an execution commonly called a fira facias numbered 1748 in the name of William W. Simmons, assignee &c against the estate of Nathan Miles and Walter B. Miles for the sum of $300, debt with interest thereon at the rate of 6$ per annum from the 20th of August 1820 till paid, and $6.36 costs which execution was directed to the sheriff of Bullitt County and returnable to the 10th of December next after its date, and which came to the hands of the said William Caldwell, he being the sheriff of Bullitt County on the 18th day of November 1825, and which execution was endorsed for the benefit of Jonathan Simmons, and that notes on the Bank of Kentucky or its branches or notes on the Bank of the Commonwealth of Kentucky or its branches would be received by the officer in discharge of this execution or any part thereof, and upon which execution the said Caldwell made the following return, to-wit.
Levied the 19th November 1825 and by virtue of the within execution sold at a credit of three months for Commonwealth money after having advertised agreeably to law all the estate right and interest of Nathan Miles and Walter B. Miles in and to the one-sixth part of whole lot No. 56 in the plan of the town of Shepherdsville upon which a brick house stands adjoining R. P. Simmons and Sons' Storehouse on Main Street, the same which was conveyed to said N. and Walter B. Miles by Benjamin Summers for $105, and Jonathan Simmons purchased $5.25 deducted for sheriff's commission, leaves a balance of $99.75 to be credited on this execution. December 17th. 1825. William Caldwell, S.B.C.
Now, for an in consideration of the premises, the said Caldwell doth by these presents convey the said lot of ground with its appurtenances to the said Simmons to him, his heirs &c.
To have and to hold the same to their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever against the claim of the said Nathan and Walter B. Miles, their heirs &c, and all persons claiming or to claim the same by, from, through or under them or either of them, but not against the claim of any other person or persons whatever; it being expressly understood that the said Caldwell do not warrant further than by law he is bound in duty as sheriff, and Nathan Miles becomes party to this deed of conveyance hereby confirms the sale and release for the consideration herein before expressed all the right, title and interest which he has or ever had to the said lot and its appurtenances.
In testimony whereof the said William Caldwell, late sheriff as aforesaid, and the said Nathan Miles have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and date above.
