On 11 Feb 1818, Benjamin Summers purchased two-thirds of lot 57 (new plan) from Adam Shepherd, as shown below. On 6 Apr 1821, he sold the ground to Henry C. Jones.

This indenture made and entered into this 11th day of February in the year of our Lord 1818 between James Alexander, John Graham, Charles Jones and James Halbert as trustees of the town of Shepherdsville of the one part and Benjamin Summers of the other part. Whereas the said Summers hath produced to the said trustees an order from Adam Shepherd on whose land said town was established by an act of assembly &c, which order states that he the said Shepherd had received from said Summers the consideration money in full for two-thirds of an half-acre lot number 4 in the original plan of said town and number 57 in the new plan, beginning and binding on Water Street and extending back towards alley for quantity.
Now this indenture witnesseth that for and in consideration of the premises the said trustees do grant, bargain and sell unto the said Benjamin Summers the said two-thirds of lot number 4 in the original plan of said town and number 57 in the new plan, binding on Water Street for the beginning and extending back towards alley for quantity.
To have and to hold the said two-thirds of lot number 4 in the original plan of said town to the said Benjamin Summers and his heirs forever, to and for his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. In witness whereof the said James Alexander, John Graham, Charles Jones and James Halbert as trustees of said town have set their hands and seals the day and year aforesaid.
