On 27 Jun 1797, the Shepherdsville Trustees deeded 2 lots to John Moore which would later be designated as lots 62 and 77 in the new plan of Shepherdsville, but which were identified as lots 47 and 49 in the old plan.
Moore would later sell the 2 lots to Elizabeth Styles. Then, after Elizabeth married Edward Crow, and together they sold the lots to George L. Robards. Robards would sell lot 62 to William Caldwell in 1830. Then in 1844 through a court decree, the lot was sold to Francis Maraman. Later, Maraman's heirs sold the lot to Samuel A. McKay, as shown below.

This indenture made this 14th day of October 1844 between Francis Maraman, Wilford W. Maraman, George W. Maraman and Henry O. Maraman, children and devisees of Francis Maraman dec'd of Bullitt County and state of Kentucky of the one part and Samuel A. McKay of Shepherdsville, same county and state, of the other part.
Witnesseth that whereas said Francis Maraman dec'd in his lifetime sold to said McKay lot No. 62 and appurtenances in the new plan of said town of Shepherdsville whereon said McKay lives for the sum of $500 of which sum said McKay paid said F. Maraman in his lifetime $100 and the balance to his executor. The $500 was due with interest from the __ day of __ and said Francis Maraman not then having the legal title, but having a mortgage on the said lot from William Caldwell, died and devised his estate to his sons, the parties of the first part, and said heirs instituted a suit in chancery in the Bullitt Circuit Court against said Caldwell, and had said lot and appurtenances sold, and said Francis Maraman purchased the same and received a deed therefore dated the 11th April 1844, reference to the said suit in chancery, the decrees and orders in said cause will show. And in order to comply with the bond of said Francis Maraman dec'd to said McKay they the said parties of the first part in consideration of the said sale and payment of the purchase money as aforesaid have sold and by these presents do sell, convey and confirm unto him the said Samuel A. McKay and to his heirs and assigns forever the said lot No. 62 as aforesaid situated on Water Street and Minerva Alley, the same whereon said McKay now lives, with the appurtenances to said lot No. 62 belonging or in any wise appertaining.
To have and to hold said lot and appurtenances unto him the said Samuel A. McKay and to his heirs or assigns forever, and they the said Francis Maraman, W. W. Maraman, George W. Maraman and Henry O. Maraman for themselves, their heirs &c do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Samuel A. McKay and his heirs and assigns that they the said Maramans will and their heirs shall forever warrant and defend to said lot No. 62 and its appurtenances unto him the said Samuel A. McKay and to his heirs and assigns against the claims of all other persons whatever by this their deed in fee simple with general warranty. Witness the hands and seals of the grantors. The wives of the grantors unite in this deed to relinquish title. (signed by grantors)
