On 27 Jun 1797, the Shepherdsville Trustees deeded 2 lots to John Moore which would later be designated as lots 62 and 77 in the new plan of Shepherdsville, but which were identified as lots 47 and 49 in the old plan.
Moore would later sell the 2 lots to Elizabeth Styles. Then, after Elizabeth married Edward Crow, and together they sold the lots to George L. Robards, as shown below. Robards would sell lot 62 to William Caldwell in 1830.

This indenture made and entered into this 18th day of October 1830 between George L. Robards and Nancy his wife of the one part and William Caldwell of the other part.
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the payment of $600 by said Caldwell said Robards and wife do by these presents sell, alien and confirm unto the said Caldwell all their right, title, claim and interest in and to a certain lot in the town of Shepherdsville lying on Water Street, known in the new plan of the town by number 62 and bounded as follows, to-wit; commencing on Main Street at the corner of Minerva's alley, running back with said alley to the first alley running parallel with the river, thence west with said alley to lot No. 61, thence with said lot to Water Street, thence with said street to the beginning.
To have and to hold the said lot with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging to the proper use and benefit of said William Caldwell; and the said George L. Robards and Nancy his wife do further covenant and agree with said Caldwell that they will forever warrant and defend the title of said lot from themselves, their heirs and all other persons whatever. In testimony thereof they subscribe their names and affix their seals the date before written.
