Shepherdsville Lot #31 under the new plan was first purchased by James Halbert on 3 Apr 1818. He sold it to his son, Daniel Halbert on on 21 Apr 1819. Daniel then sold it to Ebenezer Younger on 6 Nov 1819. Next, Ebenezer sold it to James J. Dozier on 15 Apr 1820. Dozier next sold it to Joseph Hislop on 19 Mar 1821. And Hislop sold it to Francis Maraman on 10 Jan 1823.

This indenture made this 6th day of November 1819 between Daniel Halbert of Bullitt County and State of Kentucky of the one part and Ebenezer Younger of the same County and State of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Daniel Halbert for and in consideration of the sum of eighty dollars current money to him in hand paid by the said Ebenezer Younger, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said Ebenezer Younger and his heirs forever a certain lot or parcel of land situate in the said county of Bullitt and town of Shepherdsville, known in Shanks' plan of said town by the number 31 together with all the advantages to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining. To have and to hold the said lot of land number 31 with its appurtenances unto the said Ebenezer Younger and his heirs to and for his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. And the said Daniel Halbert doth covenant, promise and agree to and with the said Ebenezer Younger and his heirs that he the said Daniel Halbert will and his heirs, executors and administrators shall forever warrant and defend to him the said Ebenezer Younger and his heirs the before described lot of land and appurtenances against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the said Daneil Halbert hath set his hand and seal the day and year first above written. (signed) Daniel Halbert.
I James Halbert, clerk of Bullitt County Court, do certify that on this day Daniel Halbert personally before me acknowledged the foregoing indenture of bargain and sale to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned, and that I have truly recorded the same, together with this certificate in my office as required by law.
