Shepherdsville lot 52 (new plan) was first sold to William Graham on 1 Apr 1814, a lot he apparently already lived on. A month later he sold it to John W. Beckwith and William F. Smith. Then on 10 Sep 1814, Smith deeded his share to Beckwith. On 29 Jan 1827, in exchange for their assuming his debt, Beckwith deeded both a 500 acre tract north of Shepherdsville and lot 52 in Shepherdsville to Solomon Neill and Frederic W. S. Grayson, as shown below. Following Grayson's death, the two tracts were deeded to Solomon Neill. Neill, on 5 Jul 1831, sold the Shepherdsville lot to William Congrove.

This indenture made this 29th day of January in the year of our Lord 1827 between John W. Beckwith and Mary W. his wife of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the one part and Solomon Neill and Frederic W. S. Grayson of the county of Jefferson and state of Kentucky of the other. Wheres the said Neill and Beckwith upon a note discounted at the office of discount and deposit of the Bank of the United States at Louisville for $2507.50 in which note David L. Ward, Frederic W. S. Grayson and Solomon Neill are securities; also all the discounts and costs due on said note; now this indenture. Witnesseth that in consideration of the said Neill and Grayson assuming to pay said debt, John W. Beckwith and wife have given, granted, bargained and sold, aliened, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do give, grant, bargain and sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said Solomon Neill and Fred W. S. Grayson a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in Bullitt County and containing 500 acres or thereabouts, beginning at a hickory and walnut the beginning corner of John Larue's 21,000 acre survey, and also a corner of a trct of land, 109 acres laid off for James Alexander, running thence with Larue's line North 49° West 146 poles to a black oak on the north side of the main road leading from Shepherdsville to Standford, made a corner for Alexander in Larue's line, thence with the said road South 40° West 40 poles, South 22° West 60 poles to a white oak on the north side of said road on the line of a 300 acre survey made in the name of Joseph Brooks, assignee of Meredith Price, thence with said line North 11° West 248 poles to a large buckeye and black walnut on Shanklin's line, thence with Shanklin's line East 522 poles to beech on the bank of Brooks Run, thence down said run with the meanders thereof South 6° West 40 poles, South 41° West 80 poles, South 47° West 38 poles to the mouth thereof, thence down Floyd's Fork with the meanders thereof North 78 1/2° West 72 poles, South 66 1/2° West 88 poles, South 29 1/2° West 70 poles, South 39° West 52 poles to the beginning with its appurtenances; which land was conveyed to John Beckwith and Frederic W. S. Grayson and James Pryor by Solomon Neill as executor of Joseph Brooks dec'd, and the said Grayson and Pryor have sold and agreed to convey their interest in said land to said Beckwith.
And also a lot of land lying in the town of Shepherdsville and known in the present plan of said town by the number of 52, conveyed by William Graham and wife to said Beckwith and William F. Smith who conveyed his interest therein to said Beckwith. The above tract and lot of land were conveyed by a deed of mortgage to Frederic W. S. Grayson to secure certain debts therein named authorizing the said Graham to proceed to foreclose said Beckwith's equity of redemption to sell and convey said property to pay certain debts therein mentioned.
To have and to hold unto the said Solomon Neill and Frederic W. S. Grayson, their heirs and assigns forever, and the said Beckwith and his wife do further covenant and agree to and with the said Neill and Grayson for themselves, their heirs &c that they will warrant and forever defend unto the sail Neill and Grayson, their heirs &c the said tracts and parcels of land with all their appurtenances against the claim or claims of all persons whatsoever lawfully claiming said land. In testimony whereof the parties to these presents set and subscribe their hands and seals the day and year above written.
