William Jones bought this lot on 22 Apr 1816 from the trustees, and then sold it to George L. Robards on 20 Apr 1819. Robards sold the lot to Mary Welch on 20 Dec 1819.
At some point the lot came into the possession of William Welch as guardian of William Welch Jr. William Sr. was likely Mary's father. Then 1 Feb 1829, he leased the lot and its contents to George F. Pope in exchange for Pope making significant improvements as described in the lease deed.

This lease made this first day of February 1829 between William Welch, guardian to William Welch Jr. of the one part and George F. Pope of the other part.
Witness that the said William Welch, guardian as aforesaid for and in consideration of the covenants and engagements of the said George F. Pope herein after entered into, hath and by these presents doth grant and lease to the said George F. Pope, his heirs &c until the said William Welch Jr. shall arrive at the full age of 21 years, the house and lot No. 36 situate, lying and being a part of the town of Shepherdsville.
And the said William Welch, guardian as aforesaid, covenants to and with said Pope that he will keep him in quiet and peaceable possession of said lot and buildings during said term.
And the said George F. Pope covenants and agrees on his part to do the following repairs on said lot and premises, to-wit: to caulk and daub the house and kitchen, and lay good floors up and down stairs in the house, to weather board up the passage and lay a good floor in the kitchen, and have the windows properly fixed in each house, and to recover both houses with good lapped shingles; to build a good smoke house and have the fencing around the lot made good, and the well properly fixed; and at the end of the term aforesaid to deliver up to said Welch guardian or to the said Welch Jr. the said lot and buildings in good tenantable order and repair.
