William Jones to George L. Robards - Shepherdsville Lot 36

William Jones bought this lot on 22 Apr 1816 from the trustees, and then sold it to George L. Robards on 20 Apr 1819, as shown below.

This indenture made this 20th day of April in the year of our Lord 1819 between William Jones and Anna his wife of Bullitt County and state of Kentucky of the one part and George L. Robards of the same county and state of the other part.

Witnesseth that the said William Jones and Anna his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of $450 current money to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said George L. Robards and his heirs forever a certain lot or parcel of land, lying and being in the county of Bullitt and town of Shepherdsville and known by its number in the first plan of said town 69, and in the new plan thereof 36, being the same lot on which said Robards now lives.

To have and to hold the said lot as before described together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said George L. Robards and to his heirs, to and for his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. And they said, William Jones and Anna, his wife for themselves and their heirs do covenant, promise, and agree to, and with the sad George L. Robards and his heirs that they will covenant and forever defend this lot of land and appurtenances against the claims of themselves and their heirs and all other persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the said, William Jones and Anna his wife have set their hands and seals the day and year aforesaid.
