Frederic Travis to Rodolphus Bukey - Part of Shepherdsville Lot 58

John Collins bought this lot in 1797, and it came into the possession of Harmon Greathouse at Collins' death. Greathouse then sold it to Henry Jones who sold a portion of it to John M. Jones who then sold it to Frederic Travis. Travis would sell the ground to Rodolphus Bukey on 22 Dec 1829, as shown below.

This indenture made and entered into this 22nd December in the year of our Lord 1829 between Frederic Travis and Polly his wife of the city of Louisville and state of Kentucky of the one part and Rodolphus Bukey of the county of Bullitt and state aforesaid of the other part.

Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of $500 by the said Bukey to the said Travis in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, they the said Travis and wife have granted and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain, and sell unto the said Bukey a part or parcel of lot of ground in Shepherdsville known in the new plan thereof by number 58, being the same part thereof conveyed by John M. Jones to said Travis by deed bearing date 4th day of November 1824 and of record in the clerk's office in the Bullitt County Court.

To have and to hold the same to him the said Bukey, his heirs &c forever, and the said Travis and wife for themselves, their heirs &c covenant to and with the said Bukey that they will forever warrant and defend the said lot or parcel of land and all the appurtenances thereunto belonging against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatever. In testimony whereof the said Travis and wife have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals this day and date above.
