Noah C. Summers to Robert F. Samuels - 2 Shepherdsville Lots

John Graham was the first to purchase Shepherdsville lots 11 and 12. He sold them to Nicholas Simmons in 1826. Simmons would later sell them to Noah C. Summers. Summers then sold it to Robert F. Samuels, as shown below. Following his death and by his will, his widow Malinda Samuels sold the lots to Richard H. Field.


Bullitt County Deed Book M, Pages 88-89

This indenture made 14th day of October 1850 between Noah C. Summers of Bullitt County, Kentucky of one part and Robert F. Samuels of same place of the other part.

Witnesseth that the said Noah C. Summers, for and in consideration of the sum of $1000 in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, he said N. C. Summers has sold and conveyed, and by these presence does sell and convey to him, the said R. F. Samuels and to his heirs and assigns the following lots of ground and appurtenances in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky, viz.

Lots number 11 and 12, with their appurtenances including the residence of said Summers, and an undivided moiety or half of lots number 13, 14, 15 and 29; the other moiety of said last named lots belong to John J. Thomasson, with the appurtenances to said Robert F. Samuels and to his heirs and assigns forever.

And said N. C. Summers covenants and agrees to and with said Robert F. Samuels to warrant and defend the title to said lots No. 11 and 12 and appurtenances to said Robert F. Samuels and his heirs forever by this deed of general warranty as to said lots, and by release and quit claim only to the other lots, and without recourse in case of loss of same.
