John Graham was the first to purchase these two lots. He sold them to Nicholas Simmons in 1826.

This indenture made this 22nd day of April in the year of our Lord, 1816 between James Alexander, Charles Jones and James Halbert, trustees of the town of Shepherdsville of the one part and John Graham of the other part all of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky.
Witnesseth that the said trustees for and in consideration of the sum of four pounds two shillings current money paid to Adam Shepherd, the proprietor of the land on which said town was established, and by virtue of the Act of Assembly establishing said town, &c, the said Shepherd's receipt and acknowledgement for the purchase money being produced to us, have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said John Graham two 1/2 acre lots lying and being in said town, and known in the new plan thereof by their numbers 11 and 12, and the former old plan by numbers 31 and 32.
To have and to hold the said lots of land with all and singular their appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said John Graham, his heirs and assigns, to his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. In witness whereof the said trustees have set their hands and seals the day and year first above written. (signed by trustees)
