In February 1800, Elijah Wright purchased his first Bullitt County land, 150 acres in eastern part of the county from Jesse Hughes, that had been part of the original 14,000 acres claimed by David Leitch. Then in 1813 he purchased an additions 25.5 acres from James Taylor. And in 1818 he bought another 20.75 acres from Moses C. Hough. Then in 1822 he added almost 104 acres from Laurence Roby that adjoined his own land. Finally in 1832 Wright bought 2.75 acres from Henry Crist as shown below.
Elijah Wright signed his last will and testament in 1834. It was recorded in the will book a decade later in 1844.
