In February 1800, Elijah Wright purchased his first Bullitt County land, 150 acres in eastern part of the county from Jesse Hughes, that had been part of the original 14,000 acres claimed by David Leitch. Then in 1813 he purchased an additions 25.5 acres from James Taylor. And in 1818 he bought another 20.75 acres from Moses C. Hough, as shown below. Then in 1822 he added almost 104 acres from Laurence Roby that adjoined his own land.

This indenture made this 13th day of September in the year of our Lord 1818 between Moses C. Hough and Rebecca his wife of the County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky of the one part, and Elijah Wright of the County of Bullitt and State aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said Moses C. Hough and Rebecca his wife for and in consideration of the sum of $150 current money to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof they hereby acknowledge and forever acquit and discharge the said Elijah Wright, his heirs, executors and administrators do by these presents grant, bargain, sell, alien and confirm unto the said Elijah Wright, his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Bullitt and State aforesaid containing 20.75 acres, being part of 14,000 acres devised by David Leitch to Keturah L. Taylor and bounded as follows, to-wit.
Beginning where Edmund Stringer's line crosses his spring branch, thence down the said branch to the road leading from Perkins toward Bairdstown, thence down said road to where said Stringer's line crosses the said road, thence with the said line to the place of beginning, together with all and singular the appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the reversions, remainders, and profits thereof, and all the estate right, title, interest, property, claim and demand of them the said Moses C. Hough and Rebecca his wife of in and to the same.
To have and to hold the lands hereby conveyed with all and singular the premises and every part and parcel thereof with every of the appurtenances unto the said Elijah Wright, his heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Elijah Wright, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Moses C. Hough and Rebecca his wife and their heirs all and singular the premises hereby bargained and sold unto the said Elijah Wright, his heirs and assigns against them the said Moses C. Hough and Rebecca his wife and their heirs, and all and every other person or persons whatever they do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents, and in case the said tract of land shall be lost by any superior titles interferring them, the said Hough is bound to refund the purchase money without interest.
In witness whereof they the said Moses C. Hough and Rebecca his wife hath hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written. (signed by grantors)
