James and Martha Bunting sold this tract to A. H. Field. Field then sold it to Susan J. Anderson, as shown below, who sold it to R. J. Meyler. Meyler sold this lot to Frank P. Straus in 1881. Straus sold it to the Troutman Bros in 1899, as shown below on this plat from the T. C. Carroll collection.

This indenture made and entered into this 5th day of March 1874 by and between A. H. Field and M. M. Field his wife of the County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky of the first part, and Susan J. Anderson of the City of Louisville, County of Jefferson, and State aforesaid of the second part.
Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of $1500 payable as follows, to wit: $600 due and payable 1st April 1874, $400 due and payable 15th June 1874, and for which two several sums the said party of the second part executed her notes of date 4th March 1874; the remaining $500 to be paid by the surrender to A. H. Field his note for that amount now held by the said party of the second part, due at or about 3rd Jun 1874, the interest thereon having been paid by law fees due by the party of the second part to A. H. field of the first part, have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said party of the second part the following described real estate situated in the town of Shepherdsville, being part of lot No. 25 and the whole of lot No. 26, fronting on Second Street and having the following boundary.
Beginning at a point opposite to and in front of where the office on said property joins the store house of E. H. McCormick and running, thence with Second Street to Doctor's Alley, thence with Doctor's Alley to alley next to jail at corner of the stable on lot sold, thence with the alley by the jail to the corner of the lot now owned and occupied by Sarah J. Ridgway, thence with her line, Mrs. Samuel's land and McCormick's land to the beginning, including the house office and all the buildings on said lot and part of lot, being the same property conveyed to said A. H. Field of the first part by J. W. Bunting and wife on the 6th of April 1866 by deed of record in Bullitt County clerk's office, Book Q, page 62.
To have and to hold the same to the said party of the second part, her heirs or assigns forever by this deed of fee simple with general warranty. In witness whereof the said parties of the first part have hereto set their hands and seals the day and year first herein written.
