Richard Fell to John Nusz - Shepherdsville Lot 51

On 22 Sep 1845, Robert F. Samuels sold Shepherdsville lot 51 to Richard Fell. Fell sold the lot to John Nusz in 1846, as shown below.

Following the deaths of John Nusz and his wife Philibina of cholera on 4 Jul 1854, the town lot descended to their five children equally. Louisa, William and George jointly sold their shares to Andrew Gild in March 1868; Mary sold her share to Andrew in January 1872; and Andrew purchased Holbart's share in February 1874.


Bullitt County Deed Book L, Pages 1-2

This indenture made this 22nd day of September 1846 between Richard Fell and Harriet Fell his wife of Bullitt County and state of Kentucky of one part, and John Nusz of the same place of the other part.

Witnesseth that the said Richard Fell and wife for and in consideration of the sum of $320 in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the said Fell and wife have sold and by these presents do sell, convey and confirm unto him the said John Nusz and to his heirs and assigns forever the following lot of land and appurtenances in the town of Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky containing one-half acre, being lot number 51 in the new plan of said town on Water Street, and the same lot No. 51 which was conveyed to said Fell by Robert F. Samuels and wife by deed dated the 22nd September 1845 and recorded in Bullitt County Court Office in Deed Book K, page 433, with its appurtenances.

To have and to hold the said Lot No. 51 and appurtenances unto him the said John Nusz, and to his heirs and assigns forever. And said Richard Fell and wife covenant and agree to and with said John Nusz that they said Fell and wife will and their heirs shall warrant and forever defend the said Lot No. 51 and appurtenances unto him the said John Nusz and his heirs forever against the claims of themselves and their heirs and all other persons whatever by this their deed in fee simple with general warranty. Witness the hands and seals of the grantors the date aforesaid first written.
