Christian James Saunders apparently purchased this lot at the original lots sale, but did not receive a deed to it until 25 Jun 1819. Then on 1 Jun 1827 he sold the lot to Noah C. Summers. Then in 1840 Summers sold the lot to the County Government that planned to use it for public buildings.

This indenture made this 20th day of April 1840 between Noah, C, Summers and Margaret C Summers, his wife of Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky of the first part and Henry F. Kalfus, Thomas Shain, Jacob Peacock, Wilford Lee, Austin Hall, Thomas J. Joyce, James Samuels, John Graham, William W. Swearingen, David L. Brooks, Richard W. Deats, and Henry Crist, Justices of the Peace of Bullit County and their successors in office forever of the same place of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said Noah C. Summers and wife for and in consideration of the sum of $150 to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, they the said Noah C. Summers and wife have sold and by these presents do sell and convey unto the said Justices of the said Bullitt County Court and their successors in office forever for the use and benefit of the Bullitt County Court as property on which to erect the public buildings of said county - one lot of ground and appurtenances in the town of Shepherdsville, and appurtenances to the same belonging, being one-half acre and being numbered in the new plan of Shepherdsville, ten.
To have and to hold the said lot No. 10 and its appurtenances to them the said Justices and their successors in office forever for the use of the said County Court aforesaid.
And the said Summers here agrees to and with the said Justices and their successors in office forever to warrant the title to them and to their successors as aforesaid against the claim of themselves and all others. Witness the hands and seals of the grantors.
