John and Eliza Rickerson sold the house and lot they had purchased from H. O. Maraman to Wilhite Carpenter in August 1874. Carpenter sold it to E. W. Hall. Hall's heirs sold it to F. P. Straus. Straus then sold it to William T. Morrow who next sold it to R. C. Shepherd. The 1903 drawing of lots 25 & 26 by County Surveyor W. C. Herps below shows the location of this lot.

This indenture made and entered into this 30th July 1900 by and between W. T. Morrow, bachelor, party of the first part and R. C. Shepherd, party of the second part, both of Bullitt County, Kentucky.
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of $725 of which $225 is paid in cash, the balance to be paid as follows: $250 in one year from date hereof and $250 in two years from date hereof for which the two named sums the second party hath executed to the first party his two promissory notes of even date hereof bearing interest from date until paid, the first party hath this day bargained and sold unto the second party with covenant of general warranty a house and lot in the town of Shepherdsville, Kentucky being part of lot No. 25, the same property conveyed by Wilhite Carpenter and wife to E. W. Hall and by E. W. Hall's heirs to F. P. Straus, and by F. P. Straus and wife to W. T. Morrow; see Deed Book 30 pages 555-556. Said lot is on Main Street adjoining the old Clerk's office fronting on Main Street 39 feet and bounded as follows.
Beginning at the corner of Sue E. Bowman's lot on Main Street, running back with her line to the Craycroft lot now owned by J. F. Smith, then with J. F. Smith's line 39 feet to the old Clerk's office, thence with said Clerk's office to Main Street, thence with Main Street 39 feet to the beginning.
There is a strip of ground three feet wide reserved by Wilhite Carpenter and wife in deed made to E. W. Hall and also in deed from F. P. Straus to W. T. Morrow. This strip of ground is next to the old brick Clerk's office beginning on Main Street and running back to the Smith or Craycroft lot and is not conveyed by this deed. A lien is retained on the property conveyed to secure the payment of the two notes executed for deferred payments thereon.
To have and to hold the same unto the said R. C. Shepherd, his heirs and assigns together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging.
The second party agrees that the first party may continue to occupy the room now occupied by him and the small annex thereto and free of charge until the 1st of January 1901, and may have ingress and egress to and from same through the side yard.
Witness the hand of the grantor this 30th July 1900. (signed) W. T. Morrow
