E. W. Hall's Heirs to F. P. Straus - Part of Town Lot 25

John and Eliza Rickerson sold the house and lot they had purchased from H. O. Maraman to Wilhite Carpenter in August 1874. Carpenter sold it to E. W. Hall. Hall's heirs sold it to F. P. Straus. Straus then sold it to William T. Morrow.


Bullitt County Deed Book 29, Pages 577-579

This deed made and entered into this the 14th day of November 1892 by and between the heirs of E. W. Hall dec'd, D. P. Hall and Jane Hall his wife, F. S. Johnson and Frances Johnson his wife of Livingston County, Kentucky, and W. A. McAfee and Jeraldine McAfree his wife, J. M. Hall and Amantha Hall his wife, and J. H. Hall, Mary Hall and Bettie Barnes of Bullitt County, Kentucky of the first part, and F. P. Straus of Bullitt County, Kentucky of the second part.

Witnesseth that the first parties for and in consideration of the sum of $200, one half to be paid in six months and the remaining half in twelve months, have granted, bargained and sold and hereby convey and deliver to the said F. P. Straus, his heirs and assigns forever with covenant of general warranty a house and lot in the town of Shepherdsville, county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky, being part of lot No. 25, being the same property conveyed by Wilhite Carpenter and Letitia Carpenter his wife to E. W. Hall; said lot is on Main Street adjoining the old brick clerk's office fronting on Main Street 39 feet bounded as follows.

Beginning at the corner of Sue E. Bowman's lot on Main Street running back with her line 43 feet to the Craycroft lot now owned by J. F. Smith, then with J. F. Smith's line 39 feet to the old brick clerk's office, thence with the brick clerk's office 43 feet to Main Street, thence with Main Street 39 feet to the beginning.

There is a strip of ground three feet wide reserved by Wilhite Carpenter and Letitia Carpenter his wife in deed made to E. W. Hall. This strip of ground is next to the brick clerk's office beginning on Main Street and running back to the Craycroft or Smith lot. This strip is not conveyed by this deed but is reserved by said Carpenter and wife, their heirs and assigns.

To have and to hold said house and lot and all the appurtenances thereon and thereunto belonging to said F. P. Straus, his heirs and assigns forever. Witness the hands of the grantors this the day and date first herein written. (signed by all grantors)
