George Magruder to Troutman Bros - Shepherdsville Lots 39-40 - Part 5

On 7 Sep 1880, R. J. Meyler sold this ground to Margaret Givens, and on 13 Apr 1881 Margaret and her husband John sold it to James Rooksby for a bay stallion. Then Rooksby sold it to Victor Bonnieville in trust for his children. Bonnieville was a blacksmith, born in France, who was living in Shelby County in 1880. Then Bonnieville sold it to J. W. Alexander who was living in the house on the lot at the time. Alexander then sold it to George Magruder who next sold it to the Troutman brothers, as shown below.

The Troutmans next sold it to B. B. Ball on 16 Mar 1899.


Bullitt County Deed Book 32, Pages 192-193

For and in consideration of the sum of $200 cash in hand paid, we George Magruder and his wife Tillie K. Magruder have sold and do hereby convey and deliver to Troutman Bros of Shepherdsville, Kentucky with covenant of general warranty the following described real estate in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, a house and lot.

Beginning at the intersection of Main Street and an alley opposite the Hoagland Hotel, formerly the Eagle Hotel, thence west with said alley 200 feet to another alley, thence with said alley north 40 1/2 feet to the Coffee lot, now owned by J. A. Hoffman, thence with Hoffman's line east 200 feet to Main Street, thence with Main Street south 40 1/2 feet to the place of beginning, being part of lots 39 and 40 of the original plat of the town of Shepherdsville, and the same conveyed to Magruder by J. W. Alexander by deed recorded in Deed Book No. 30 in Bullitt County Court Clerk's office and the same conveyed by Victor Bonnieville to J. W. Alexander.

To the said H. F. Troutman, C. F. Troutman and R. L. Troutman to have and to hold forever. Witness the hands of the grantors this 17th December 1897 [signed by grantors]
