Victor Bonnieville to J. W. Alexander - Shepherdsville Lots 39-40 - Part 5

On 7 Sep 1880, R. J. Meyler sold this ground to Margaret Givens, and on 13 Apr 1881 Margaret and her husband John sold it to James Rooksby for a bay stallion. Then Rooksby sold it to Victor Bonnieville in trust for his children. Bonnieville was a blacksmith, born in France, who was living in Shelby County in 1880. Then Bonnieville sold it to J. W. Alexander who was living in the house on the lot at the time, as shown below.

J. W. Alexander next sold the ground to George Magruder on 2 Jan 1894.


Bullitt County Deed Book 27, Pages 338-339

This indenture made and entered into this the 28th day of November 1888 by and between Victor Bonneville and Louisa Bonneville his wife of Hardin County, Kentucky of the first part, and J. W. Alexander of Bullitt County, Kentucky of the second part.

Witnesseth that the parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of $200 to be paid as follows: $50 on the 1st of January 1889, $50 on the 1st of January 1890, $50 on the 1st of January 1891, $50 on the 1st of January 1892, and for which sums the party of the second part did on the 1st day of January 1888 execute to Victor Bonneville of the first part his four promissory notes of said date each for $50, and to fall due as above set for the with interest from date, and to secure the payment of same a lien is retained on the land herein conveyed, and of said sum said second party has paid $47.25 on the 9th day of November 1888, and by said sum his first note should be credited as of said date.

Hath bargained, granted, sold and conveyed, and by these presents doth bargain, grant, sell and convey to the party of the second part the following described real estate situated and being in the County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky and bounded as follows to wit: a house and lot in the town of Shepherdsville on the west side of Main Street on the corner of alley, the same formerly owned by Thomas Joyce and being __ feet front on Main Street and extending back and west from Main and parallel thereto __ feet, the same property described in deed from plaintiff to John and Maggie Givens of date September 7, 1880 and the same now occupied by J. W. Alexander as a residence.

To have and to hold to the party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever with covenant of general warranty. In testimony whereof the parties of the first part have hereunto signed their names this day and date above written. [signed by grantors]
