On 7 Sep 1880, R. J. Meyler sold this ground to Margaret Givens, and on 13 Apr 1881 Margaret and her husband John sold it to James Rooksby for a bay stallion. Then Rooksby sold it to Victor Bonnieville in trust for his children as shown below. Bonnieville was a blacksmith, born in France, who was living in Shelby County in 1880.
Bonnieville would sell it to J. W. Alexander on 28 Nov 1888.

This deed of conveyance made and entered into this 13th day of May 1881 by James Rooksby and Lucy Rooksby his wife of the first part, and Victor Bonniville, trustee for Thomas Bonniville, Mary Alice Bonniville, Fany Bell Bonniville of the second part, all of the county of Bullitt, State of Kentucky.
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of $325 cash in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the party of the first part has conveyed, sold and delivered, and by these presents do sell, transfer and convey unto said Victor Bonniville, trustee aforesaid, the following described real estate in the town of Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Ky., viz. a house and lot and all the appurtenances thereunto belonging lying and being in said town on Main Street, being parts of lots Nos. 39 & 40 in the new plan of said town.
Beginning on Main Street at the southeast corner of said lot No. 40, thence with the line of the alley, North 83 1/2° West 198 feet, 11 inches to the southwest corner of lot No. 39 on School Alley. Thence with a line of said alley North 6 1/2° East 39 feet, 8 3/4 inches to a stake, thence South 83 1/2° East 198 feet, 11 inches to a stake on Main Street. Thence with a line of said street 39 feet, 8 3/4 inches to the beginning, being the same property conveyed by John and Margaret Givens to said first party and of record in Deed Book X, pages 121 & 122.
To have and to hold unto said Victor Bonniville, trustee in trust for said Thomas Bonniville, Mary A. Bonniville, Fany Bell Bonniville and to his successors in said trust with covenant of general warranty. In testimony whereof said first party James Rooksby and Lucy Rooksby have hereto set their hands this 13th day of May 1881. [signed by grantors]
