Abraham Field to James Doyle - Shepherdsville Lot 31

By 1841, Jacob Bowman and Abraham Field jointly owned Shepherdsville lots 31, 45 and 46, and decided to dissolve their partnership by splitting their holdings. Abraham Field received lot 31, and Jacob Bowman received lots 45 and 46.

Abraham Field sold lot 31 in James Doyle in 1845, as shown below.

This indenture made this ninth day of August 1845 between Abraham Field of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the one part and James Doyle of the same county and state of the other part.

Witnesseth that whereas said Field owned and held a lot in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville No. 31 is to be conveyed to the said James Doyle for the sum of $150 to me in hand paid, I do sell and by these presents do sell and convey to him, the said James Doyle, and his heirs and assigns forever, the said lot of land No. 31 and its appurtenances in the new plan in the town of Shepherdsville, together with all and singular the appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining.

To have and to hold the said lot of land No. 31 and its appurtenances unto him the said James Doyle and his heirs and assigns forever. And A. Field for himself, his heirs &c does hereby covenant and agree to and with the said James Doyle and his heirs or assigns the said A. Field will and his heirs, executors, and administrators shall warrant and forever defend the title to the said lot of ground No. 31 and its appurtenances to the said James Doyle and his heirs or assigns forever against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever. In testimony, whereof the said Abraham Field has hereto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and date above written. (signed) A. Field
