By 1841, Jacob Bowman and Abraham Field jointly owned Shepherdsville lots 31, 45 and 46, and decided to dissolve their partnership by splitting their holdings. Abraham Field received lot 31, and Jacob Bowman received lots 45 and 46, as shown below.

This indenture made this fifth day of March in the year of our Lord 1841 between Abraham Field of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the one part and Jacob Bowman of the same county and state of the other part.
Witnesseth that whereas said Field and Bowman owned and held in partnership lots &c in the town of Shepherdsville in the new plan thereof, county of Bullitt Nos. 31 and 45 and 46, and have agreed to divide and actually divided the same, and the lot and appurtenances No. 31 is assigned and conveyed to Field, and the other two lots Nos. 45 & 46 are hereby to be conveyed to the said Bowman.
Now in consideration of the premises and the sum of one dollar by said Bowman to the said Field in hand paid, he the said Abraham Field have sold, and by these presents does sell and convey unto him the said Jacob Bowman and to his heirs and assigns forever said lots of land and their appurtenances aforesaid Nos. 45 and 46 in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky, together with all and singular the appurtenances to the same belonging or is any wise appertaining (being the tan yard lots).
To have and to hold the said lots Nos. 45 & 46 and their appurtenances unto him the said Jacob Bowman and to his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Abraham Field for himself, his heirs, executors and administrators does hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Jacob Bowman that he the said Abraham Field will and his heirs, executors and administrators shall forever warrant and defend the title to the lots and appurtenances here sold unto him the said Jacob Bowman and to his heirs and assigns forever against the claim or claims of him the said Abraham Field and his heirs or assigns and the claim or claims of all other persons. In testimony whereof the said Abraham Field has hereunto set his hands and affixed his seal the day and date first herein written.
