On 22 Feb 1838, Matthew Wilson conveyed to the trustees of the United Baptist Church of Shepherdsville plots of ground in and near Shepherdsville, as shown below. It included his warranted title to Lot #43 in the town's new plan, and also a quit claim title to Lot #51 in the old plan plus the same title to a plot just north of town and of Third Street, land originally purchased by William Mockbee from Adam Shepherd in 1799.

This indenture made this 22nd day of February 1838 between Matthew Wilson and Martha T. Wilson, his wife, of the city of Louisville, county of Jefferson, and state of Kentucky of the one part, and Humphrey Simmons, Joseph R. Murray, Frederic Travis, Thomas Joyce, and Samuel A McKay, trustees of the United Baptist Church in Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky and their successors in office of the second part.
Witnesseth that said M. Wilson, for and in consideration of the sum of $200 to him secured to be paid, the receipt of which is here acknowledged, he said Matthew Wilson has sold, and by these presents does convey and confirm unto the parties of the second part, trustees as aforesaid, and to their successors in office forever for the exclusive use and benefit of the United Baptist Church at Shepherdsville the following property situated in Shepherdsville, Bullitt County and near to said town, viz.
One half acre lot (more or less) of ground, number 43 in the new plan of said town, the same lot conveyed to said Wilson by John Williams by deed dated the 14th day of February 1831, see record of same in Bullitt County Court office, book G, page 265; also lot number 51 in the old plan of said town, the same lot conveyed by the trustees of Shepherdsville to Benjamin Summers by deed dated the 27th day of June 1797, recorded in said office, book A, page 15, and conveyed by said Summers to John Griffin, the fourth day of June 1812, see deed of record, Book C, page 47, and conveyed by Elizabeth Griffin to John W. Beckwith the 8th of November 1820, see Deed book D, page 341, and sold by decree of the Bullitt Circuit Court in the name of Matthew Wilson agains said John W. Beckwith's heirs &c, see papers in bundle of deeds number 118, purchased by Matthew Wilson and deeded by George F. Pope, commissioner for that purpose, to said Wilson dated 7th of October 1831, recorded in Circuit deed book A, page 127.
Also lot or parcel of land of about one half acre near to Shepherdsville on the road leading out of Main Street to Louisville, the same lot conveyed on the 29th of May 1799 by Adam Shepherd to William Mockbee and wife, see deed in book A, page 83, and conveyed by Mockbee and wife to John W. Beckwith by deed dated the 30th of July 1819, see book D, page 97, and the title thereto acquired by said M. Wilson as specified by the decree and commissioner's deed as aforesaid.
To have and to hold the title in fee to said lot number 43 unto the said parties of the second part, trustees aforesaid and to their successors in office forever for the exclusive use and benefit of said Church forever, and said Matthew Wilson covenants to and with said parties of the second part, trustees as aforesaid and their successors in office to warrant and defend the title to said lot number 43 as conveyed to him as aforesaid to said parties of the second part, and their successors in office for the purposes aforesaid forever against the claims of all person, whatever by his deed and fee simple with general warranty.
But the said Matthew Wilson only conveys to the said parties of the second part, and to their successors in office as aforesaid his title to said other two lots herein conveyed without warranty of title, and it is expressly understood by both parties hereto that in case said title to the Mockbee and Griffin lots aforesaid is lost by any other or better claim, he said Wilson is not liable therefore in any event whatever; he only conveys said lots by quit claim without any warranty whatever.
