Jacob Weller to Samuels, Levy & Company - Part of Lot 41

On 10 Mar 1853, Robert L. Byrn sold his part of Shepherdsville lot No. 41 to Jacob Weller. Weller sold part of this share of the lot to Coleman Samuels, Abraham Levy, and Nathan Levy who compose the firm of Samuels, Levy & Company as shown below. He sold another part to Lorenzo Hogland.

This indenture made this 2nd day of May 1854 between Jacob P. Weller and Martha A. Weller his wife of the first part and Coleman Samuels, Abraham Levy, and Nathan Levy who compose the firm of Samuels, Levy & Company of the second part all of Bullitt County, Kentucky.

Witnesseth that the party of the first part for and in consideration of $500 cash in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained and sold and doth by these presents grant, bargain and sell unto the party of the second part, their heirs and assigns all that part of lot No. 41 on Main Street in the town of Shepherdsville, Kentucky and including the house now occupied by said Samuels, Levy and Company as a store, and the same purchased by the said Jacob P. Weller of Robert L. Byrn by deed dated the 10th day of March 1853 and recorded in Bullitt County clerk's office except 17 feet fronting Main Street and running back to the back line sold by me to Hogland and Applegate by deed dated the 13th day of March 1853 and recorded in Bullitt County Court office.

To have and to hold said balance of lot No. 41 in the new plan of Shepherdsville unto the said Samuels, Levy and Company and their heirs against the claim of all persons whatever.

In witness whereof the said Jacob P. Weller and wife hath hereto set their hands the day and year first written.
