This indenture made this 29th day of January 1839 between John J. Thomasson and Sarah his wife and Noah C. Summers and Margaret C. his wife of one part and Thomas W. Riley of the second part.
Witnesseth that the said Thomasson and Summers for and in consideration of the sum of $15 paid Thomasson and the sum of $15 paid said N. C. Summer by said Riley, they the said Thomasson and Summers have sold, and by these presents do sell and convey unto the said Riley all their title and interest of in and to the lots numbers 35 and 36 in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville, Bullitt County with the appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining.
To have and to hold the said lots No. 35 and 36 as aforesaid to him the said Riley and his heirs and assigns forever. And said Thomasson and Summers covenant and agree to and with said Riley to warrant and defend the title to said lots aforesaid to him said Riley and to heirs and assigns against the claims of themselves and their heirs and all persons claiming under them, but in case the lots are lost by any better claim said Thomasson and Summers are in no wise responsible, this being a deed of release by quit claim as aforesaid. Witness the hands and seals of the grantors.
