Nicholas Russell to Heirs of James Lashbrook - 16 Acres

On 8 Nov 1790, Nicholas Russell Sr. purchased from David Leach 153 3/4 acres located along Broad Run in what was then in Jefferson County, Kentucky. In 1824, Russell sold about 16 acres of the farm to the heirs of James Lashbrook, as shown below. The farm was declared to be 136 3/4 acres when Nicholas' heirs deeded it to Thomas Russell Sr., also an heir. Then in 1833 Nicholas' widow Judith Russell deeded her dower rights to the farm to Thomas in exchange for his care for her.
