Heirs of Robert F. Samuels to R. H. Field - Shepherdsville Lots 91-92

On 16 Sep 1859, George W. Simmons and wife sold their share of Shepherdsville lots 91 & 92 to Robert F. Samuels. On 18 Apr 1870, Samuels' heirs, in a court case, sold these two lots to Richard H. Field, as shown below.

This indenture and conveyance made and entered into this 18th day of April 1870 between Malinda Samuels, widow of Robert F. Samuels dec'd, William T. Samuels and Hugh M. Samuels, Robin Jacob Samuels, Fanny Samuels & Kate Samuels who are the children of said William T. Samuels and Kate Samuels dec'd, and Mary Samuels, the widow of Charles R. Samuels dec'd and her children, viz Kate Samuels, Phil Lee Samuels & Josie Samuels by W. J. McConathy, master commissioner, parties of the first part, and Richard H. Field of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky, party of the second part.

Witness that whereas in the action R. F. Samuels' curator, plaintiff vs R. F. Samuels' heirs & creditors then pending in the Bullitt Circuit Court a judgment and order of sale was entered at the April Term 1868 directing Wilhite Carpenter as a commissioner in the above styled action to expose for sale at public auction certain real estate including the property hereinafter described, and whereas said property was sld in accordance with said order on the 21st day of September 1868 and R. H. Field became the purchaser of same at the sum of $101 and executed his two notes for said sum payable in six and twelve months, and whereas the report of said sale was confirmed by said court at the October Term 1868, and at the October Term 1869 an order was entered directing the master commissioner to execute a deed of conveyance of said property to said R. H. Field; now in consideration of the premises and for the further consideration of the full payment of the purchase price, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the parties of the first part by W. J. McConathy, master commissioner, B.C.C. have bargained, granted and sold and hereby convey to said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever the following described property, to-wit.

Five certain fractions of lots Nos 91 and 92 as shown and designated on the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky, the same conveyed to Robert F. Samuels by George W. Simmons and Maggie E. Simmons his wife by deed recorded in the Bullitt County Clerk's office, reference is here made to said deed.

To have and to hold the said property together with the rights and privileges and appurtenances there unto belonging unto the party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever by this deed of general warranty. The commissioner herein shall not incur any individual responsibility whatever. In testimony whereof said commissioner hereunto affixed the names of the first parties.
