In February 1827, Benjamin Stansbury deeded the eastern half of Shepherdsville lot 38 to Nathaniel P. Saunders, as trustee for Saunders' sons: William C. Saunders and George P. Saunders. Saunders would later sell the lot to John J. Thomasson as shown below.

This indenture made this 18th day of March 1828 between Nathaniel P. Saunders, trustee for William C. Saunders and George P. Saunders of the one part and John J. Thomasson of the other part, all of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky.
Witnesseth that the said Nathaniel P. Saunders, trustee as aforesaid, for and in consideration of the sum of $25 current money of the United States to him as trustee for and in behalf of George P. Saunders and William C. Saunders in hand paid, the receipt of which he does hereby acknowledge, have received as trustee for their use and benefit, he has and does by these presents grant, bargain and sell unto the said John J. Thomasson all that part of lot No. 38 in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville, being the same half thereof which was conveyed to Nat P. Saunders, trustee as aforesaid by Benjamin Stansbury by deed bearing date the 28th February 1827, and of record in the Bullitt County Court office, which half acre lot of land is bounded as follows.
Beginning at the northeastern corner of said lot No. 38, thence southwardly the course of the town lots with a line of School Alley 198'11" to southeast corner of said lot, thence with a line of said lot westwardly the course of the town lots to the center of said lot, thence North 6 1/2° East 198' through the center of said lot to the front line thereof, thence with a line thereof to the beginning.
To have and to hold the said half part of said lot of land and appurtenances to the said John J. Thomasson, his heirs and assigns foever free from the claim of me and my heirs, and as trustee for said William C. and George P. Saunders to whom I am trustee as aforesaid and against their heirs and all other person whatsoever. In witness whereof to this my covenant of general warranty for myself and as trustee as aforesaid I do set my hand and seal the date above.
