In February 1827, Benjamin Stansbury deeded the eastern half of Shepherdsville lot 38 to Nathaniel P. Saunders, as trustee for Saunders' sons: William C. Saunders and George P. Saunders. Saunders would later sell the lot to John J. Thomasson.

This indenture made and entered into this 25 day of February 1827 between Benjamin Stansbury of the county of Jefferson and state of Kentucky of the one part and Nathaniel P. Saunders, trustee for William C. Saunders and George P. Saunders, children of the said Nathaniel P. Saunders of the county of Bullitt and state aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said Benjamin Stansbury for and in consideration of the sum of $30 to him in hand paid before the delivering hereof, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents doth give, grant, bargain and sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said Nathaniel P. Saunders in trust for the said William C. Saunders and George P. Saunders, their heirs &c the eastern half of lot 38 in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville in Bullitt County, which half of said lot is bounded as follows, to-wit.
Beginning at the northeastern corner of said lot, thence southwardly the course of the town lots with a line of School Alley 198'11" to southeast corner of said lot, thence with a line of said lot westwardly the course of the town lots to the center of said lot, thence North 6 1/2° East 198'11" through the center of said lot to the front line thereof, thence with a line thereof to the beginning.
To have and to hold the said described part of said lot with the appurtenances thereto belonging unto the said Nathaniel P. Saunders in trust for the said William C. Saunders and George P. Saunders, their heirs &c free and clear of any from all encumbrances whatever and to their only proper use and benefit and behoof forever. And the said Benjamin Stansbury for himself, his heirs &c doth covenant and agree to and with the said Nathaniel P. Saunders, trustee as aforesaid, that he will and his heirs shall warrant and forever defend the said part of said lot to the said Saunders in trust as aforesaid from himself and his heirs and all persons claiming the same by, from, through or under him, but not against the claim or claims of any other person or persons, and the said Benjamin Stansbury further covenants with the said Nathaniel P. Saunders, trustee as aforesaid, that he may if he thinks proper sell and convey the said part of the said lot and invest the purchase money in anything which he may believe to be more beneficial for the said William C. Saunders and George P. Saunders, their heirs &c. In testimony whereof the said Benjamin Stansbury hereto sets his hand and seal on the day and year written.
