On 2 Jun 1835 John Hancock of Louisville sold 102.25 acres on the waters of Broad Run to Nelson King Jr. as shown below. King sold the tract to Lewis Jones' heirs on 7 Apr 1841.

This indenture made the second day of June in the year of our Lord 1835 between John Hancock and Catherine Hancock his wife of the city of Louisville, county of Jefferson, and state of Kentucky of the one part and Nelson King Jr. of Bullitt County, Kentucky of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said John Hancock and Catherine his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of $500 current money of Kentucky to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Nelson King Jr., and to his heirs forever, the following described tract of land in Bullitt and Jefferson, counties, the residence thereof in Bullitt on the waters of Broad Run and bounded as follows to-wit.
Beginning at a gum, sugar tree, and fallen down beech, thence North 10° East 254 poles to a stone, thence North 80° West 81 1/2 poles to a hickory and ironwood, thence South 10° West 99 1/2 poles to a stone, thence South 80° East 30 1/2 poles to a stone, thence South 10 1/2° West 155 1/2 poles to a sassafras, thence South 80° East 55 poles to the beginning containing by survey 102 1/4 acres and 32 poles more or less together with all and singular the premises to the same belonging or in wise appertaining.
To have and to hold the said land and appurtenances to him the said Nelson King Jr. and to his heirs and assigns forever. And the said John Hancock and Catherine his wife for themselves, their heirs &c do hereby jointly and severally covenant and agree to and with the said Nelson King Jr. and heirs &c that they will and their heirs shall and will warrant and forever defend the said land and appurtenances to him said King and to his heirs and assigns forever against th claim or claims of themselves and their heirs, and against the claims of all and every other person or persons whatsoever by this their deed in fee simple with general warranty.
