William Graham to Henry Oldham - Shepherdsville Lot 43

On 7 Jun 1808, William De Rohan sold Shepherdsville Lot 43 (new plan) to William Graham. Graham then sold it to Henry Oldham on 18 Jul 1808.

This indenture made the 18th day of July in the year of our Lord 1808 between William Graham and Nancy, his wife of the county of Bullitt and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and Henry Oldham of the same county and Commonwealth of the other part.

Witnesseth that the said William Graham and Nancy, his wife for and in consideration of $80 current money of the United States of America to them in hand paid before the sealing and delivery hereof, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have given, granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do give, grant, bargain and sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said Henry Oldham, his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land, situate, lying, and being in the county of Bullitt aforesaid and in the town of Shepherdsville containing 1/2 of 1 acre more or less known in the plan of said town by the number 15 and bounded as follows.

Northwardly by Second Street, southwardly by an alley running between Second Street and Water Street, westwardly by an alley running between Main Street and Walnut Street, and eastwardly by lot No. 16, which lot No. 16 corners on Walnut Street and Second Street.

To have, and to hold, the said tract or parcel of land with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said Henry Oldham, his heirs and assigns to his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever; and the said, William Graham and Nancy his wife for themselves and their heirs, executors and administrators do covenant promise and agree to and with the said Henry Oldham, his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns that they will forever warrant and defend the said tract or parcel of land with all and singular the appurtenances unto the said Henry Oldham, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns against them the said William Graham and Nancy his wife, their heirs, executors and administrators, and the claim or claims of all and every person or person whatsoever.

In witness whereof the said William Graham and Nancy his wife have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written.
