Francis Maraman to George W. & Henry O. Maraman
Part of Shepherdsville Lot 25

In 1846, Richard H. Field sold part of a lot fronting on Main Street next to the Clerk's Office to Francis Maraman, divisee of W. W. Maraman. That deed identifies the lot as No. 25 (new plan). Francis then deeded the lot to his sons George and Henry Maraman, as shown below.

This indenture indeed of conveyance made and entered into this first day of January 1847 between Francis Maraman of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the first part and George W. Maraman and Henry O. Maraman of the same county and state of the second part.

Witnesseth that for and in consideration of natural love and affection, and also in the sum of one dollar to him the party of the first part paid by the party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said party of the first part has granted, bargained and sold, aliened, released and confirmed, and do by these presents grant, bargain, sell, alien, release and confirm unto them the said parties of the second part the lower part or square of lot number 25 in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville recently conveyed to the said party of the first part by Richard H. Field, extending from the lower boundary of said lot, the clerk's office, running back to the lot on which Craycroft's shop stands, up to the upper extremity of the house, standing thereon recently erected by Wilford, W. Maraman which is immediately upon the line. Said lot fronts say 39 feet, exact depth not known, extends to and is bounded by H. J. Craycroft's lot, together with the house and all and singular the appurtenance thereunto belonging.

To have and to hold the said described house and lot unto the said parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns and to their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. And the said party of the first part for himself and his heirs doth covenant and agree to and with the said parties of the second part that he will and his heirs shall warrant and forever defend the said described premises unto them the said parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns from the claim or claims of all persons claiming or to claim the same.
