Richard H. Field to Francis Maraman - Shepherdsville Lot 25

In 1846, Richard H. Field sold part of a lot fronting on Main Street next to the Clerk's Office to Francis Maraman, divisee of W. W. Maraman. The deed below identifies the lot as No. 25 (new plan).

This indenture and deed of conveyance made and entered into this 30th day of December in the year of Christ 1846 between Richard H. Field of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the one part and Francis Maraman of the same county and state of the other part.

Whereas on the 22nd day of July 1846 the said Field executed his bond to Wilford W. Maraman for the conveyance of a certain parcel of ground in the town of Shepherdsville in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars, and since that time the said W. W. Maraman having departed this life and having by his last will and testament devised to the said Francis Maraman the aforesaid parcel of ground and improvements made by him thereon, now this indenture witnesseth that for and in consideration of the premises, the said Richard H. Field doth hereby grant, bargain, sell, release, convey and confirm unto the said Francis Maraman the lower part or square of Lot No. 25 in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville, extending from the lower boundary of said lot on the clerk's office, running back to the lot on which Craycroft's shop stand, up t othe upper extremity of the house (which is immediately on the line) built thereon by the said Wilford W. Maraman and fronting say 39 feet, exact depth not known, extends to and is bounded by H. I. Craycroft's lot.

To have and to hond the said part or parcel of lot above described unto the said Francis Maraman, his heirs and assigns and to his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. And the said Richard H. Field for himself and his heirs do covenant and agree to and with the said Francis Maraman that he wil and his heirs shall forever warrant and forever defend the said parcel of lot unto him the said Francis Maraman, his heirs and assigns from the claim or claims of all persons claiming or to claim the same.
