Benjamin Stansbury to George & Hannah Beeler, & Elizabeth Stansbury

On 20 Jul 1821, Benjamin Stansbury deeded several parcels of land to his son-in-law and daughter George and Hannah Beeler, and his daughter Elizabeth Stansbury. The deed included six lots of ground of a half acre each in Shepherdsville. They included lots 13, 14, 15, 32, 38 and 53 under the town plat drawn by James Shanks.

On 20 Jul 1821, George, Hannah and Elizabeth sold lots 38 and 53 to John J. Dozier.

This indenture of bargain and sale made and entered into the 20th day of July 1821 between Benjamin Stansbury of Bullitt County, Kentucky of the one part and George Beeler and Hannah Beeler his wife, the daughter of the said Benjamin of Jefferson County, Kentucky, and Elizabeth Stansbury of the same county & state with the said Benjamin, her father, of the other part.

Witnesseth that the said Benjamin for and in consideration of the natural love & affection which he bears towards his said children and the sum of one dollar to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath given, granted, bargained, sold, aliened and confirmed, and by these presents doth give, grant, bargain, sell, alien & confirm unto the said George Beeler & Hannah his wife and to the said Elizabeth Stansbury, to them and their heirs forever a tract of land lying in Jefferson County containing three hundred acres, being the same deeded to me by Joshua Frye & __ Frye his wife, which deed is recorded in the clerk's office of the Jefferson County Court; also two quarter sections of land lying in the state of Indiana patented to me; also two lots of ground of a half acre each lying in the town of Corydon, Indiana, deeded to me by H. Heth & wife; also six lots of ground of an half acre each lying in the town of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, deeded to me by the trustees of said town, which deed is recorded in the clerk's office of the Bullitt County Court.

To have and to hold the aforesaid tracts of land and lots of ground as the same are particularly designated by the deeds and patents together with all the appurtenances & privileges thereunto belonging or appertaining to the said George Beeler & Hannah his wife, and to the said Elizabeth Stansbury and their respective heirs forever to them the said George Beeler and Hannah his wife and the said Elizabeth Stansbury and their heirs and to their only proper use & behoof forever. And the said Benjamin Stansbury for himself and his heirs doth forever warrant and defend the aforesaid described lands & lots of ground from himself, his heirs and all and every person or persons whatsoever claiming or to claim the same. In testimony whereof the said Benjamin Stansbury hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day & year before written. (signed) Ben Stansbury. Bullitt County Sct I the clerk of the county court of Bullitt County do certify that on this day Benjamin Stansbury came personally before me and signed, sealed, acknowledged and delivered the written indenture of bargain and sale to be his act and deed, and that I have at the instance of the said Benjamin Stansbury recorded the same with this certificate in my said office as the law requires. Witness my hand this 20th day of July 1821. (signed) George F. Pope
