Shepherdsville Trustees to Benjamin Stansbury - 6 Lots

On 17 May 1819, the Shepherdsville trustees deeded town lots 13, 14, 15, 32, 38 and 53 (new plan) to Benjamin Stansbury as shown below.

Then on 20 Jul 1821, Benjamin deeded several parcels of land to his son-in-law and daughter George and Hannah Beeler, and his daughter Elizabeth Stansbury. The deed included the six lots of ground of a half acre each in Shepherdsville mentioned in the deed below.

This indenture made and entered into the 17th day of May 1819 between James Alexander, John Graham and Charles Jones as trustees of the town of Shepherdsville of the one part and Benjamin Stansbury of the other part.

Witness that whereas the said Benjamin Stansbury has produced to the said trustees three several orders from Adam Shepherd on whose land said town was established by an act of assembly &c, which orders state that he the said Shepherd had received from said Stansbury the consideration money in full for lots number 10, 33, 34, 35, 40 and number 8 upon the old plan of said town and by the numbers 38, 13, 14, 15, 32 and 53 in the new plan.

Now this indenture witnesseth that for and in consideration of the premises the said trustees do grant, bargain and sell onto the said Benjamin Stansberry they said lots numbers 10, 33, 34, 35, 40 and 8 upon the old plan of sit down and numbers 38, 13, 14, 15, 32 and 53 in the new plan thereof together with all and singular the advantages to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining.

To have and to hold the said lots and all, and every part and parcel thereof to the said Benjamin Stansbury, his heirs and assigns to and for his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. And witness whereof the said James Alexander, John Graham, and Charles Jones, trustees as aforesaid, have hereto set their hands and affixed their seals this day and year aforesaid.
