On 20 Jan 1872, John L. O'Brian sold 10 acres adjoining Shepherdsville to W. W. Zazio. Zazio then sold half of it to David M. Bates, as shown below. Bates would see that five acres to Joseph F. Birkhead on 1 Sep 1879.

This deed made this 10th day of March 1879 by W. W. Zazio and Sallie E. his wife of the first part and David M. Bates of the second part, all of Bullitt County, Kentucky.
Witness that the first parties in consideration of $550, $30 of which is in hand paid and the receipt hereby acknowledged, and for the balance two notes are this day transferred to the first party as follows.
$200 on or before the first day of March 1876. I promise to pay James Harrison Bridges $200 with 6% interest from date, it being the second note referred to in the deed of conveyance this day executed, March 2, 1874 (signed) W. V. Hall.
$200 on or before the first day of March 1877. I promise to pay James Harrison Bridges $200 with 6% interest from date, it being the last note referred to in the deed of conveyance this day executed, March 2, 1874 (signed) W. V. Hall.
These notes were given for land lying in Jefferson County, Kentucky conveyed by J. H. Bridges to W. V. Hall on the day of their date with lien retained on the land to secure them, the deed duly executed and recorded in Jefferson County clerk's office.
These notes are transferred by the second party to the first party, but it is agreed that the first party need not sue on said at the first or other courts in order to make the second party liable, therefore, but may give the said Hall additional time and until the second party shall give the first party written notice to sue he is not required to sue thereon, but the first party releases a lien on the land and property herein conveyed to secure said notes to the same extent as if they were the notes of the second party given to the first party for the same amounts as the consideration price of the land herein conveyed.
The first parties in consideration of the premises hereby sell, convey and deliver to the second party the following land and appurtenances, to wit. A tract of about five acres of land, more or less, with dwelling house and outhouses on it lying in Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky, adjoining the Kalfus tanyard property on the east, the lands of Joseph Chaddic and Mrs. Isaacs on the south, the land leading from the Bullitt's Lick Road to George W. Simmons on the west and the public dirt road, Bullitt's Lick Road on the north, and being that portion of the land bought by the first party of John L. O'Bryan January 20th 1872 which lies south of said Bullitt's Lick Road; the deed of O'Bryan to the first party duly recorded in Bullitt County Court clerk's office in Deed Book T at page 20.
And the first parties covenant to warrant the title of the land herein conveyed unto the second party and his heirs and assigns against all claims by this conveyance of general warranty. (signed) W. W. Zazio, Sallie Zazio
