In February 1827, Benjamin Stansbury deeded the western half of Shepherdsville lot 38 to George F. Pope, as trustee for Pope's sons: William F. Pope, John D. Pope, and Worden Pope Jr. Pope would later sell the lot to John J. Thomasson.

This indenture made this 21st day of February 1827 between Benjamin Stansbury of the county of Jefferson and state of Kentucky of the one part and George F. Pope, in trust for William F. Pope, John D. Pope, and Worden Pope, children of the said George F. Pope of the county of Bullitt and state aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said Benjamin Stansbury for and in consideration of the sum of $1 to him in hand paid before the sealing and delivery thereof, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath given, granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents doth bargain and sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said George F. Pope, trustee as aforesaid, one half of the lot 38 in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky, which half of said lot is bounded as follows, to-wit.
Beginning at the northwest corner of said lot, thence with Second Street eastwardly the course of said street to the center of said lot, thence through the center of said lot southwardly the course of the town lots 198'11" to the back line of said lot, thence with said line to the southwest corner of said lot, thence with a line of said lot to the beginning.
To have and to hold the said half of said lot No. 38 and its appurtenance unto the said George F. Popes in trust for the said William F. Pope, John D. Pope and Worden Pope, their heirs &c free and clear of and from all encumbrances and to their only proper use benefit and behoof forever. And the said Benjamin Stansbury for himself, his heirs &c doth covenant and agree to and with the said George F. Pope, trustee as aforesaid, that he will warrant and defend the said described part of said lot and appurtenances to the said Pope, trustee as aforesaid, from himself and his heirs and all persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same by, from or under him, but not against the claim or claims of any other person or persons, and the said Benjamin Stansbury further covenants with the said George F. Pope, trustee as aforesaid, that he may if he thinks proper sell the said part of said lot and convey the same to the purchaser and invest the purchase money in anything which the said Pope may think will be more beneficial for the said William F. Pope, John D. Pope and Worden Pope Jr., their heirs &c. In testimony whereof the said Benjamin Stansbury hereto sets his hand and seal on the day and year written.
