On 14 Dec 1854, Sarah Nall and Charlotte G. Benthall, daughters of Adam Shepherd, sold this approximately 6 acres to Lorenzo Hogland. It lay on the east side of Shepherdsville as described below. At least part of this is likely the ground that Hogland sold to B. F. Oxley in 1857.

This indenture made this 14th day of December 1854 between Sarah Nall and Charlotte G. Benthall, late Sarah and Charlotte Shepherd of Bullitt County, Kentucky of the first part and Lorenzo Hogland of the town of Shepherdsville and same county and state of the other part.
Witnesseth that the party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of $200 cash in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, they the party of the first part hath sold and doth hereby convey unto the party of the second part a certain price or parcel of land lying on the north side of Salt River and near to and adjoining the town of Shepherdsville, and being part of the land conveyed by William Pope to the parties of the first part by deed dated the 15th day of March 1827, and which is bounded by the east line of East Street when extended to the line of a strip of ground conveyed by said William Pope to George F. Pope, and with Pope's line to the Big Road leading from Shepherdsville to Louisville, and with the road to Shepherdsville to the limits of the town of Shepherdsville, and thence on the line of said town to the east corner of said town, the beginning.
Out of this boundary is excluded all the ground heretofore conveyed by our father, Adam Shepherd, or William Pope, and being all the land owned by us and bounded by the east line of said East Street when extended, and the Big Road to Louisville on the west and the line of George F. Pope's heirs on the north and line of lands that may and has been heretofore sold by our father, Adam Shepherd or William Pope Jr. or others, and which is supposed to contain about six acres, and which is here sold.
To have and to hold said piece of land bounded as aforesaid unto said Hogland, his heirs and assigns. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals the day and year first written.
