On 15 Jan 1851, William T. Samuels of Hardin County sold his part of Shepherdsville lots 23-24 to Thomas A. Mitchell as shown below.

This indenture made this 15th day of January 1851 between William T. Samuels and Kate his wife of Hardin county, Kentucky and Thomas A. Mitchell of Bullitt County and same state of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said Samuels and wife for and in consideration of the sum of $700 paid and to be paid as follows, $100 cash paid and four notes of the said Mitchell bearing date of these presents for the sum of $150 each payable yearly without interest, and for which a lien is retained on the property here sold, hath sold and do by these presents sell and convey to the said Mitchell, his heirs and assigns all that part of lots numbers 23 and 24 in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville, sometime since occupied by Robert F. Samuels as a tavern house and being the same property conveyed by Edwin H. Summers as commissioner for and on behalf of Henry Robb by deed recorded in the clerk's office of the Bullitt County Court in Deed Book L, pages 94 and 95.
To have and to hold the said parts of lots No. 23 and 24 as aforesaid to the said Thomas A. Mitchell, his heirs and assigns against the claim of the said William T. Samuels and Kate his wife, their heirs and assigns and against the claim or claims of all persons claiming or to claim the same. in testimony whereof the said William T. Samuels and Kate his wife hath hereto set their hands and seals the day and year first written. (signed by grantors)
