On 10 Jul 1822, Nicholas Lewis sold a 1000 acre patent that lay north of the Salt River to Henry Crist as shown below.

This indenture 10th day of July 1822 between Nicholas Lewis of Warren County and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part, and Henry Crist of Bullitt County and Commonwealth aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of $1000 currency to me in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have sold and by these presents doth hereby sell, set over and transfer and convey to him the said Henry Crist, him his heirs and assigns, a certain tract or parcel of land lying in Bullitt County and on the north side of Salt River and patented to Nicholas Lewis bearing date second day of December 1785, and bounded as follows, to-wit.
Beginning at the northwest corner of Hawkins' preemption opposite the mouth of Cox's Creek, being a sugar tree, running thence South 50° East 263 poles to two elms on the bank of Salt River, thence up the same North 16° East 86 poles, North 73° East 140 poles to a large sugar tree, thence North 40° East 240 poles to a sugar tree and hickory, thence North 50° West 360 poles to a honey locust, and red oak, thence North 60° West 190 poles to two ashes, thence South 13° West 295 poles to the beginning.
To have and to hold the said premises with their appurtenance to him the said Crist and his heirs forever from me and my heirs and all manner of persons claiming the same by through or under me or my heirs, but from no other person whatsoever. Whereas in testimony, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this day and year first above written.
